Daflo

Privacy Policy

Last updated: November 7, 2026

This policy explains how Daflo handles information when you use the Daflo habit and time journal app. Daflo is maintained by an individual. For privacy questions or requests, contact nexche@gmail.com.

Information you enter

Daflo stores the information you choose to add, which may include:

If you tap the microphone to dictate a note, Daflo sends audio to the speech recognition service provided by your device or browser. That service may process audio online depending on its settings and available offline language support. Daflo saves the recognized text as your note, not an audio recording. If cloud sync is enabled, the note text is synced with your journal.

Where information is stored

Your journal is stored on your device by default. If you choose Google sign-in, Daflo uses Firebase Authentication and Cloud Firestore to associate your account with your journal and sync your habits, templates, daily entries, and settings. Cloud sync is optional; you can use the app without signing in. Signing out stops future syncing on that signed-out session but does not delete data already stored in your Google/Firebase account.

When you use Google sign-in or cloud sync, Google and Firebase may process account identifiers and technical information needed to authenticate requests, secure the service, and provide storage and synchronization. Their handling of service data is also described in Firebase’s privacy and security information and Google’s Privacy Policy. Cloud data may be processed or stored in locations used by Google’s services.

Reminders and exports

If you enable daily reminders, Daflo schedules local notifications on your device. Reminder timing and notification permission are controlled through your device. Daflo does not send reminder content through a push-notification server.

If you export a CSV, the file is created for you to share or save using your device’s available sharing options. Once shared or saved elsewhere, the receiving app or service handles that copy under its own privacy terms.

How information is used and shared

Information is used to provide the journal, remember your settings, schedule reminders, prepare exports you request, and—if you opt in—sync your data across devices. Daflo does not sell your personal information or use it for targeted advertising. The current app does not include third-party advertising, analytics, or crash-reporting SDKs. Google/Firebase may process technical information as part of the services described above.

Information is not otherwise shared by Daflo except when you choose to export or share it, when needed to operate the optional Google/Firebase features, or when disclosure is required by law.

Retention and deletion

Information stored locally remains on your device until you delete it or remove the app. Device backups and operating-system behavior may affect whether data remains after app removal. Daflo does not control copies you exported to other apps or services.

Daflo does not set an expiry date for synced journal records. They remain associated with your cloud account until you request account deletion or the records are otherwise deleted. Firebase project-level retention settings may also affect when cloud records are removed. Google may retain limited service or security records under its own retention practices.

If you enabled cloud sync and want your cloud journal or associated sign-in data deleted, use the Daflo account deletion page to submit a request. The page explains what will be deleted and how to contact the app owner. Your locally stored journal is separate and will remain on your device unless you delete it there. Signing out alone does not delete cloud data.

Security

Daflo uses on-device storage for the local journal and relies on Google/Firebase security controls for optional cloud services. No method of storage or transmission can be guaranteed completely secure. Protect access to your device and Google account.

Children’s privacy

Daflo is a general-purpose journaling app and is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information through Daflo, contact nexche@gmail.com so the information can be reviewed and appropriate deletion can be requested.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated when Daflo’s features or data practices change. The latest version and its update date will be available on this page.
